Approaching his second year with Moni Funk & The Groove Machine, Curtis Kieres continues to deliver innovation and professionalism. He has been involved in several jazz ensembles and big bands in the Okanagan including the Dreamland Band, Kelowna City Band, Lake Country Big Band and other concert orchestras for the past 17 years. He has performed at many venues & events in BC's interior including: the Okanagan Jazz & Blues Festival, Westside Dayz, Rutland May Days, Rutland Scarecrow Festival, Interior Jazz Festival and more. Curtis proves his abilities with alto sax, soprano sax and clarinet, yet prefers to play tenor sax with Moni Funk and the Groovemachine. His main influences are Sammy Nestico, Herbie Hancock and Tower of Power.
